The five technical problems beginners actually hit

The phrase "technical SEO" scares beginners more than anything else in this course. So here is the demystifying secret: for a normal site, technical SEO is mostly the same five problems, over and over. Learn to spot these five and you can diagnose most of what actually goes wrong — using the crawl, index, rank model from Module 1 and tools you already know.
Problem 1 — duplicate pages (two addresses, one house)
Many sites accidentally serve the same page at several addresses: with and without www, with http and https, with and without a trailing slash, plus print versions and link-tracking copies. Humans never notice. Google sees separate pages with identical content — and you know from Module 2 what happens when two of your pages compete for one search: the vote splits, and both rank worse.
