Filling, merging, compressing and signing documents without printing anything.
Module 1 gave the rule: send PDFs to anyone outside your company, because a PDF looks identical everywhere and cannot be casually edited. This lesson covers everything else people actually do with PDFs — filling them, signing them, combining them, shrinking them — all without a printer.
That last part matters. The print-sign-scan ritual (print the form, sign it in pen, photograph it, email the photo) wastes twenty minutes and produces a blurry mess. Every step of it has a digital replacement that is faster and looks better.
Making a PDF
Two ways, both free and already on your machine:
Save As / Export. In Word: File → Save As → choose PDF. In Google Docs: File → Download → PDF.
Print to PDF. Press Ctrl+P in any app and choose Microsoft Print to PDF (or Save as PDF on Mac) as the printer. This works even in apps with no export button, because anything that can print can print to PDF.
