What a microphone actually does
A microphone does exactly one thing: it makes whatever it hears louder. Not better — louder.
The liberating consequence: conversation volume still rules. The entire job of the mic is doing the loudness so your throat does not have to. Beginners who shout into microphones get the worst of both worlds — a strained voice AND a blasted, distorted sound. Trained singers let the system carry the room while they sing at the supported, ringing, home-base volume this course built.
