Why ghosting is usually not about you, and what to do with a "no".
This is the lesson nobody puts in a course outline, and the one that decides whether the other lessons get used. Because the searches that fail are usually not the ones with weak resumes — they're the ones where the person stopped.
So let's talk honestly about the two hardest things in a job search: the "no", and the nothing.
The nothing (ghosting)
Why it happens has almost nothing to do with you. Module 1 showed you the mechanics: an ATS may have filtered you on keywords before any human looked, and the recruiter behind it has 200 resumes, four roles, and no time to write 196 polite notes. Add the messier truths — roles get cancelled, budgets freeze mid-hire, an internal candidate was the favourite before the advert even went up — and silence starts to look like what it is: a measure of their workload, not of your worth.
