Here's what most freshers don't realise: your first interview is almost never in person. It's a phone or video call — and it has its own rules, most of which have nothing to do with your answers.

The unfair truth about video calls

The interviewer isn't trying to judge your lighting. But humans can't help it: bad audio reads as "unprepared", a dark face reads as "low energy", a chaotic background reads as "chaotic". None of it is fair. All of it is fixable in ten minutes.
