Module 1 ended with the four-part prompt: role, task, context, format. That is your foundation, and honestly, using it consistently already puts you ahead of most people in most offices.
This lesson adds seven patterns on top. Each is a small, repeatable move — like a chess opening — that reliably improves what comes back. They work in every major assistant: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot. Learn them once, use them forever.
Pattern 1 — The role
Tell it who to be before you tell it what to do.
You are an experienced HR manager who explains policy in plain, kind language. Explain how notice periods work.
Why it works: the role narrows an enormous space of possible answers. "Explain notice periods" gets a different — and more useful — answer from an HR manager than from a lawyer or a journalist. Choose the role your reader would want to hear from.
