For most of history, one-to-one tutoring was a luxury of the rich. Now anyone with a free ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account has a tutor with unlimited patience, unlimited time, and no judgment whatsoever.
The five tutor prompts
1. "Explain like I'm 12." The whole reason this course keeps using analogies is that they work. Force any explanation down to plain language:
Explain what compound interest is like I'm 12, using an everyday analogy.
If the answer still confuses you, say so — "simpler, and shorter" — as many times as it takes. It will never get impatient. That is the superpower.
2. "Ask me questions, one at a time." Reading feels like learning but mostly isn't. Being asked is where learning happens:
Quiz me on the four website parts from a course I'm taking — frontend, backend, database, API. One question at a time. Tell me if I'm right before the next one.
