At the end of Module 2, a promise was made: a three-line format that replaces a dozen "how is it going?" check-ins. Here it is. It takes ninety seconds to write, and managers everywhere silently wish every person on their team used it.
The format
Done: first draft of the client report finished and shared with Sam.
Doing: layout and charts — on track for Thursday.
Blocked: waiting on the April numbers from finance; asked Monday, chasing again today.
Three lines. Done, Doing, Blocked. That is the whole format.
Compare it with what most people send: "Hey, just working away on the report stuff, going okay I think, will keep you posted!" That message costs a read and delivers nothing — no proof, no date, no warning. Its only real content is "please keep worrying quietly".
